You usually lay a bet (a dollar is the normal amt.) to try to win a side jackpot that can be upwards of $25,000. Though big jackpots like this are extremely appealing, they are also very hard to win. You would need to hit a Royal Flush in order to hit this bet. Also, imagine this- you wager twenty hands and place the side bet each time. That is 20 dollars you should have used towards the actual game bet instead of a sucker wager. Imagine what you could have been able to win at a bet with better odds employing that 20 dollars.
Individual number bets in Roulette: This is especially true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has 2 0’s on the wheel, unlike European Roulette, which has only 1. This takes the overall casino edge from 2.63percent with one zero wheel to a whopping fivepercent in American. The individual number wager has just a one in thirty eight chance of winning, which are very long odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red bets instead which have a much lower casino advantage.
Keno: Any version of Keno, and anyway you play it, the house edge can be a whopping 25%. Yes, that isn’t a error. Due to the huge amount of numbers you must choose, it’s not recommended to gamble on Keno very much. A couple of times for fun, perhaps. But do not spend all your money on it or you will quickly discover yourself bankrupt.
